Please be advised the entry for the Center’s Nickname started on March 1 was closed as of April 30. We would like to thank everyone, and it is much appreciated that we received so many entries. Selection of Grand Prize and Runner-Up Prizes is to be scheduled in late June. Each award winner of will be notified of the prize respectively, while the public announcement of the award winners will be posted on each website of Kochi Prefecture and Kochi Consultation Center for Foreign Residents.
The Kochi Consultation Center for Foreign Residents turns two this end May 2021! As part of the anniversary celebration, we would like to invite the public to create a nickname for the Center. We are looking for a nickname that is both easily accepted by the people of Kochi, as well as easy to use by foreign residents. We look forward to receiving lovely nicknames from everyone.

| Application Details |
・Anyone can apply. Each person may submit up to three entries. Each entry should be done on one piece of application form. ・Entries must be the applicant’s original work, unpublished, and not copied or appropriated from any other work. ・The nickname should be written in Japanese (i.e. hiragana / katakana / romaji / kanji). Even if the nickname is derived from a non-Japanese language, please write it in Japanese. For example : 你好 → ニーハオ When using romaji or kanji, please also write down how to pronounce them. |
| Prizes | ■Grand Prize (x1) Prize Money of 30,000 yen ■Runner-Up Prizes (x2) Prize Money of 10,000 yen *High school students and younger will receive the prizes as book vouchers |
| Judging Process |
The Center’s Nickname Selection Committee (tentative name) will select the winning entries in end June. If the winning nickname is one that has been submitted by multiple people, the winner will be determined by a draw. The nickname entry that wins the grand prize will be used as the nickname for the Center. |
| Announcement of Results | Winners will be notified directly, and results will be announced on the websites of Kochi Prefecture and the Center. |
