What is the Individual Number Card?
The Individual Number Card indicating your individual number (“My Number”) is a card with an embedded IC chip, and is a card you need to have in order to make your life in Japan convenient. You will be able to get an Individual Number Card upon application. (You can apply for an Individual Number Card via smartphone, PC, ID photo booth, or mail.) It is free of charge to apply for an Individual Number Card for the first time.
